Arab world

Arab World Sex Guide covers prostitution, escorts, hookers, brothels, erotic massage, casual sex, gay sex and transgender sex workers across the Arab world.

The Arab sex scene changes completely from one country to another. Dubai is packed with international escorts advertising online, Beirut has long had one of the region's better-known nightlife and gay scenes, Morocco has plenty of underground prostitution, while countries such as Saudi Arabia are much stricter and have no open red-light districts.

Hookers are illegal or heavily restricted in most Arab countries, but that certainly doesn't mean there aren't any. Girls work from apartments, hotels, bars, clubs, massage parlors and online escort ads. In the Gulf especially, a punter may see almost nothing on the street while finding plenty of hot girls on escort pages.

Vaginal, Anal and Other Sex

Vaginal sex is offered by plenty of professional hookers around the Arab world. What you actually get depends on the girl, the country, the price and what was agreed before the clothes came off.

Anal sex and non-penetrative sex also have an interesting place in parts of the Arab world. Where keeping a girl's virginity until marriage is considered important, some unmarried couples avoid vaginal sex and fool around in other ways instead. This varies enormously and shouldn't be confused with what professional prostitutes normally offer customers.

With hookers there is no universal Arab menu. One girl may fuck, another may refuse intercourse and offer other services, and another may have a long list of things she won't do. Ask first rather than arguing about it after you have paid.

Where Are the Hookers?

Tunisia is unusual in the Arab world because it has had regulated prostitution. Tunis is known for Sidi Abdallah Guech, the old prostitution street hidden inside the Medina. Many other regulated brothels and red-light areas disappeared after the 2011 revolution.

Morocco has plenty of underground prostitution even though it is illegal. Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier and Agadir are the main cities associated with street ookers, escorts and sex tourism. Casablanca's notorious Bousbir was once a massive red-light district, but it disappeared decades ago.

Egypt once had famous prostitution quarters, but today's scene is underground. In Cairo and Alexandria, prostitutes are more likely to be found through apartments, bars and online arrangements than in a legal brothel district.

Lebanon has a long and complicated history with prostitution. Beirut has traditionally been one of the easier Arab cities for finding escorts, nightlife and other adult entertainment.

United Arab Emirates bans prostitution, yet Dubai has a huge escort market. Russian, Ukrainian, African, Arab, Asian and other foreign hookers advertise online, with hotel outcall being a major part of the business. Abu Dhabi has the same kind of scene on a smaller scale.

Jordan also bans prostitution. Amman has an underground scene, but don't expect an Amsterdam-style street full of windows and hookers.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and the other Gulf markets are much more discreet. The stricter the country, the more the business tends to disappear behind private contacts, apartments and phones.

Escorts

The internet changed the Arab hooker business. In Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you can walk around all day without seeing obvious street prostitution and then find pages of escort ads on your phone.

Escort sites advertise everything from cheap independent girls to expensive luxury companions. Russian, Ukrainian, Moroccan, Arab, African, Indian and Asian escorts are common categories. Outcall to hotels is especially important in Gulf cities.

Gay and Trans Sex

Gay nightlife is much less open than in Western Europe. Laws can be harsh and an obvious gay-bar district simply doesn't exist in most Arab cities.

Beirut has historically had one of the Arab world's most visible gay scenes. Male escorts and transgender sex workers also exist elsewhere, but much of the business stays online or behind private contacts.

Apps and escort directories therefore matter more than walking around looking for a gay red-light district. What is tolerated in one city can get a guy into serious trouble somewhere else.

Common Scams

Fake hookers are everywhere online. A scammer steals a hot girl's pictures, chats with a horny punter on WhatsApp or Telegram and then asks for a deposit, taxi money, security payment or "agency fee". Once the money is sent, the girl suddenly disappears.

Other tricks include a completely different girl arriving, old or heavily edited pictures, suddenly increasing the agreed price and fake massage ads. Blackmail can be particularly nasty when the scammer already has the punter's phone number, photos or other personal information.
