KitKatClub

KitKatClub is probably the most famous fetish nightclub or so called Sex-Positive Club in Berlin, Germany and one of the few places left where people still genuinely let loose without everybody filming everything for social media. The place is heavily connected with techno, fetish culture, BDSM, nudity, dark rooms, sex-positive nightlife and Berlin’s old underground club scene.

Tourists often imagine KitKat as some giant nonstop public orgy. Reality is different. Most people are there mainly for the atmosphere, dancing, flirting, outfits, freedom and social energy. Yes, sex happens. Yes, you will probably see naked people, couples fooling around, kinky scenes and people disappearing into dark corners. But the place is still more techno club than brothel.

The funny thing is that first-timers usually arrive expecting nonstop fucking everywhere, but after a few hours many realize the real addiction is actually the atmosphere itself. You walk around half naked, covered in sweat, talking nonsense with random strangers at 6 in the morning while techno shakes the walls and some latex girl smokes cigarettes near the pool like it is the most normal thing on earth.

The club became legendary because it mixes everything together: ravers, swingers, fetish people, queers, tourists, artists, old Berlin weirdos, techno zombies and complete beginners trying to understand what the hell they just walked into.

Some nights are very sexual. Other nights are mostly dancing with kinky outfits and horny energy in the background. A lot depends on the party. Some people spend the whole night dancing and never touch anyone. Others disappear into dark rooms, BDSM corners or private play spaces five minutes after arriving.

Getting into KitKatClub

The door policy is famous for a reason. Tons of tourists get rejected every weekend because they show up dressed like they are going to a normal EDM club or bachelor party.

KitKat is not impressed by expensive fashion, designer brands or rich-guy energy. Looking too normal is actually one of the fastest ways to fail.

Black boots, fetishwear, mesh, leather, latex, harnesses, lingerie, chains, creative outfits and generally looking like you belong in a weird Berlin basement at 4AM works much better. White sneakers are almost a meme-level mistake at this point.

The bouncers mostly watch your energy. Loud drunk tourist groups, creepy sex-hunter vibes, nervous staring and frat-boy behavior are usually death sentences at the door. Calm confident people who already look comfortable with fetish culture usually have much easier time.

Inside nobody really cares if you are gay, straight, bi, kinky, vanilla, rich, poor, local or tourist as long as you are respectful and understand consent.

Inside the club

Inside it is almost as if you are in another world. Phones disappear after cloakroom and that changes the atmosphere completely. People actually talk to strangers again, not film themselves all night long.

There are techno floors, nooks, smoking areas, pool areas, fetish rooms, dark spaces and random social chaos all over the place. Sometimes it’s more like a strange adult playground than a nightclub.

One minute you're having a political discussion with a naked German man in leather boots, the next you're passing someone who's being whipped in a BDSM corner, as techno pounds from somewhere else in the house. And then suddenly you’re eating pizza at sunrise, with people you met six hours ago.

Consent culture is taken seriously. The quickest way to get hated on or kicked out is to start touching random people, acting pushy, or treating the place like a zoo. Ironically, many people feel safer inside KitKat than in totally normal nightclubs because boundaries are much more openly communicated.
