Coming out
Coming out means telling other people that you are gay, lesbian, bisexual or otherwise not straight. A guy may come out to his friends first, tell his family later, or keep his sex life secret for years while he remains in the closet.
Some people come out after getting a boyfriend or girlfriend, being caught on Grindr or another dating app, or simply getting tired of hiding who they fuck and date. Coming out does not happen only once; every new workplace, friendship or relationship can mean deciding whether to tell people again.
