- Feeld – A niche dating app known for alternative lifestyles, polyamory and open relationships. It is most commonly used in large international cities.
Because dating apps allow people to meet fast and anonymously, they are sometimes also used by sex workers in some countries. This may include independent escorts, freelancers or other forms of paid companionship depending on local laws and customs.
Dating App Scams and Risks
Dating apps attract a lot of scammers around the world. Fake dating profiles, Escort deposit scams, blackmail attempts and worst cases robberies which can lead to a big problems especially in Colombia. Platforms such as Tinder, Bumble and Seeking are often reported to have these kind of issues and Grindr also among gay and bi sexual men.
In tourist destinations like Thailand, Philippines and Colombia, many scammers pretend to be escorts or freelancers and ask for deposits before meeting.
