Closeted

Closeted or in the closet describes a gay, lesbian or bisexual person who keeps their sexual orientation secret from other people. A closeted guy might date women in public while secretly checking out men, using Grindr, visiting gay bars or hooking up with guys on the side.

Some stay in the closet with family or at work but are completely open with friends and sexual partners. Others hide everything for years because they don't want anyone knowing who they date or fuck.

Leaving the closet and telling other people about your sexuality is known as Coming out.
