2026 FIFA World Cup and Prostitution

2026 FIFA World Cup took place across the United States, Mexico and Canada, bringing millions of football fans, tourists, nightlife traffic and short-term visitors into North America. The tournament was played across 16 host cities, with packed hotels, increased prices, busy bars and a temporary boom in nightlife and the escort business.

The huge international sports event changed nightlife quickly in many host cities. Tournament weeks brought more freelancers, online escort ads, casual sex hookups, temporary massage girls and scammers around bars, stadiums and hotels. Prices also increased in many places as football fans arrived, particularly for hotels, taxis, bottle service, escorts and nightlife.

In cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York City, local nightlife became much more international during the tournament. Latin American, European and North American football fans mixed together and the party atmosphere was especially busy before and after matches.

Like during most huge events, tourists had to use common sense. Fake escort ads, inflated pricing, pickpocketing, fake drivers, nightclub overcharging, drink spiking and hotel theft were all risks for visitors. Late-night stadium areas, tourist bars and temporary party zones also attracted hustlers looking for easy money.

Most people visiting during the World Cup were simply football fans enjoying the tournament. Every host city was different: some nightlife areas were upscale and expensive, while others were rougher and more chaotic.
