Soi Buakhao
Soi Buakhao in Pattaya is a long stretch of beer bars, cheap food, massage shops and late-night drinking. If you just want a quick sex, then go to Soi 6. If you want see tourists and plenty of freelancers then go to Walking Street.
Buakhao is the expat pub. Open-fronted bars, spilled Leo, exhaust fumes and guys who came for a two-week holiday ten years ago and never left. Plenty of bar girls are looking for customers. Sit down, buy a beer and see who you click with.

Where the Action Is
- Tree Town: A loud, open-air beer bar complex near Pattaya Klang. Plenty of bars to sit drinking and meet people.
- LK Metro: A short loop off Soi Diana. Often called Buakhao’s mini-Walking Street, with go-go bars like Crystal Club, Champagne and Las Vegas alongside regular beer bars.
- Soi Chaiyapoon (Soi Pothole): The strip for gentlemen's clubs like High Rollers, OXO and The Naughty Club. Dark, air-conditioned lounges with sofas and hostesses.
- Rock Factory: Right on Buakhao if you want loud rock and metal while you drink.
Beer Prices, Bar Fines and Sex Prices
Buakhao draws guys looking for cheaper drinking than the main tourist strip. Don't assume every bar charges the same.
The price ranges quoted here are 55 to 80 THB for beer and 120 to 200 THB for a lady drink. Check the menu before ordering rounds.
A bar fine may run 300 to 700 THB. That pays the venue to let somebody leave her shift. Her own fee is separate, and paying a bar fine does not guarantee sex.
Quoted rates are around 1,000 to 2,000 THB for short-time (ST) and 2,000 to 4,000 THB for long-time (LT). Agree directly on the price, time and services. Long-time doesn't mean the same thing to everybody.
A night with drinks, a bar fine and a private meeting can come to 3,000 to 5,000 THB, but extra rounds, rooms and individual rates can push it higher. Count the whole bill, not just the first number somebody gives you.
Freelancer girls, massages and ladyboys
Buakhao gets plenty of guys who want company and long-time deals rather than a rushed 30-minute quickie. The girls here tend to be slightly older than the Walking Street go-go dancers. Guys looking for Girlfriend Experience (GFE) often prefer sitting in these bars and getting to know somebody first.
The street is lined with massage shops advertising "Oil Massage 300 THB." That only covers the rubdown. Where offered, a happy ending or body-to-body finish is negotiated separately, with quoted extras around 500 to 1,000 THB cash. Don't assume every massage shop offers it.
Ladyboys work the bars across Buakhao and LK Metro, with dedicated TS bars like Jie Jie and Bradleys around Soi Pothole.
Late-night freelancers roam the area too. Keep your wits about you with street pickups and anybody else you bring back. A girl working in a bar is no reason to leave your wallet lying around.
Stay Safe
Pay for drinks as they land on your table to avoid bill padding, and don't leave drinks unattended. Use your hotel safe for passports and extra cash. Check the hotel's guest policy before bringing somebody back.
