Gentlemen's club
Traditionally, a gentlemen's club is an exclusive, private social club for upper-class men (this is still true in the UK). Everywhere else, the term is just an upscale marketing trick for a strip club. Operators use it to enforce a dress code, justify massive covers, and sell the illusion of class.
The Hustle & Extras Costs
The entire business model relies on upselling you into the VIP room. The girls are professional hustlers trained to get all cash from your wallet on overpriced champagne and lap dances.
Can you actually get laid? Sometimes. In darker VIP corners, heavy tipping might get you a handjob (HJ) or blow job (BJ). Full sex is rare. To get a girl for short-time (ST) or long-time (LT), you usually have to wait until her shift ends at 3 AM. Beware: many will bleed you dry inside the club, then flake on meeting up later.
Global Terms
UK: "Gentlemen's club" means a private men's social club. "Strip club" means naked girls.
Ireland: Lap-dancing club.
Japan & South Korea: The niche is dominated by Hostess clubs instead.
Germany & Austria: Tabledance bar.
