Relationship
A relationship with a prostitute or escort can develop when a client regularly sees the same sex worker and the arrangement becomes more personal than occasional paid sex. Regular clients may talk, spend time together and become emotionally attached, particularly when an escort provides companionship or a girlfriend experience as well as sexual services.
Sometimes genuine friendships or romantic relationships develop between escorts and clients, but the client should remember that affection and attention can also be part of the service. Some guys fall in love with a favorite hooker and start spending much more money, giving gifts or believing she will eventually become their girlfriend.
Problems can start when one person thinks it is a real relationship while the other still sees it as business. An escort asking for money does not automatically mean she is scamming somebody, since getting paid is the reason for the arrangement in the first place, but stories about emergencies, debts or promises of a future together can sometimes be used to keep an emotionally attached client paying.
