Genital wart
Genital warts are small bumps that occur around the genital or anus area, usually caused by certain types of human papillomavirus. They can be transferred during vaginal, anal or oral sex, and sometimes close skin-to-skin contact.
Genital warts may appear as a single bump or as a group of small, cauliflower-like spots. Some people have HPV but no symptoms are seen.
Condoms can reduce the risk but are not fully protective, as HPV can infect skin not covered by a condom. The HPV vaccine can help protect against the types of HPV that most often cause genital warts.
