Bois de Boulogne
Bois de Boulogne is a large park on the western edge of Paris, France, and has long been known as one of the city’s most famous outdoor sex areas.
After dark, parts of the park change completely. Roads and side paths fill with cars slowly cruising, and sex workers, mostly girls and transgender sex workers, stand along certain stretches waiting for clients. The atmosphere is very different from central Paris: quieter, more isolated and sometimes tense.
The scene here is entirely street-based. There are no bars or brothels involved, just direct negotiation and then moving to a car or a nearby hidden spot. Some sexual activity also happens deeper inside the park, behind the trees.
Sex Prices in Bois de Boulogne
(Bois de Boulogne / "le Bois") Known for cheap street sex prices, heavy competition and quick fucks. A quick blow job costs around €20-40 and full sex around €30-80, sometimes called "l’amour", according to street reports. Older newspaper reports quoted €40-50 for the full sex. Longer time or extras can be around €60-100.
Prices vary by worker, time and negotiation. Prices might be lower late at nite or in less busy areas, and more attractive or more experienced workers may charge more. These are street numbers not a set menu.
Common negotiation. Quibbling about what was involved, further requests and clients trying to get their money back afterward. Before you hand over the cash, agree the price and service. The money buys nothing but the agreed arrangement.
Sucking and fucking could be happening in cars parked along the road or white vans. Some guys say the cheapest encounters happen on dirty mattresses in the bushes a few meters off the road.
Female and Trans Street Workers
The scene is very mixed. There are Eastern European, African, South American and local sex workers, along with a strong presence of shemale or crossdresser prostitutes. The trans-girl scene in Bois de Boulogne is well known and in some areas more visible than the female street workers.
South American workers feature heavily in accounts of the Bois, including Brazilian, Peruvian and Venezuelan women, some without regular immigration status.
Many operate along specific stretches of road and tend to work later into the night. Prices for trans workers are often similar or slightly higher, typically €50-100 depending on the situation and demand.
Clients range from locals to tourists and late-night drivers passing through. This is not a beginner-friendly area. It is dark, spread out and not controlled like a regulated red-light district. Police patrols happen, but the environment is still rough compared to indoor setups.
Bois de Boulogne remains associated with outdoor prostitution in France, but like many places, activity has shifted and is less obvious than in the past.
Stay Safe
During the day, the Bois is a public park used by walkers, runners and other visitors. After dark, isolated roads and wooded paths are a different story. The prostitution scene around Porte d’Auteuil and the Reine-Marguerite area has a history of robbery, intimidation and violence affecting both workers and clients.
Robbery, sometimes called "racket," is one of the main problems workers talk about. Money, bags and phones get stolen. Some workers have also described assaults and clients turning aggressive. Their advice includes collecting the agreed money beforehand, staying closer to the road and avoiding isolated places alone.
Clients get robbed too. In 2021, seven men were placed under formal investigation over violent extortion targeting customers in the Bois. Being the guy paying does not keep you out of trouble.
There have been killings. Vanesa Campos, a 36-year-old Peruvian trans sex worker, was shot dead in August 2018 during a gang attack connected to a robbery dispute. Nine men were tried, and the two main defendants received 17 and 14 years in prison on appeal in March 2023. Another Peruvian trans sex worker, Jessyca Sarmiento, was killed after being struck by a car in February 2020.
Workers also describe transphobic insults, harassment and cars pulling up simply to laugh at them. Drug activity and other street trouble add to the rough atmosphere after dark.
France criminalized buying sexual services in 2016. Workers interviewed in the press say fear of enforcement has pushed some meetings farther into the bushes, away from the road and other people. Some say the police simply drive through while the trouble carries on.
Agree on the price and service before anything starts, including when payment is expected. Don’t argue over money in an isolated spot or try to demand it back after the agreed service.
Avoid dark trails and secluded corners. Staying near lighting and other people reduces isolation, but a roadside van is not automatically safe. Carry little cash, keep valuables out of sight and don’t leave your phone or wallet where someone can grab it.
Don’t be the drunk guy. Workers have described alcohol as a factor in clients becoming nasty or violent. If somebody starts threatening you or the situation changes, leave rather than getting into a fight.
