Sugar Club Bangkok
Sugar Club Bangkok is one of Bangkok's best known hip-hop and R&B nightclubs, located on Sukhumvit Soi 11 in the heart of Sukhumvit. Since opening in 2014, Sugar has become one of the city's most popular late-night clubs and attracts a mixture of tourists, expats, local partygoers and freelancers.
Unlike the nearby Go-go Bars around Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy, Sugar Club is a normal nightclub with DJs, live performances, VIP tables and a large dance floor. There is no bar fine system and many visitors continue their night here after the go-go bars begin closing.
History
Sugar Club opened in October 2014 and quickly established itself as Bangkok's leading hip-hop nightclub. Together with Levels, Climax, Bed Supperclub and Q Bar, it helped make Sukhumvit Soi 11 one of Bangkok's premier nightlife streets.
Over the years the club has hosted international hip-hop artists, DJs and live performances while remaining one of the busiest late-night venues in the city.
Atmosphere
Sugar attracts a younger crowd than many of the bars around Nana. The atmosphere is energetic, with commercial hip-hop, R&B, trap and international party music played throughout the night.
The crowd is a mixture of tourists, expats, local Thais and groups celebrating birthdays or special occasions. Freelancers are commonly seen inside the club, particularly after midnight, but many customers are simply there to dance and enjoy the music.
Sugar Club enforces a smart casual dress code. Flip-flops, tank tops and beachwear may be refused, especially on busy weekends.
Sugar Club is normally open every night from around 22:00 until 04:00, making it one of the latest clubs operating on Sukhumvit Soi 11.
Within a short walk are Levels, Climax, Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, Soi 7/1 Sukhumvit Road and numerous hotels, restaurants and rooftop bars.
Casual Sex and Hookups
Sugar Club Bangkok is said to be the easiest place to get laid in Sukhumvit Soi 11. There are many wild thai girls looking to meet guys and if you are black guy or white hiphop guy, you will most likely not go home empty handed.
Freelancers
Many freelancers visit Sugar Club after leaving nearby bars or arriving from other parts of Sukhumvit. Unlike Go-go Bars, there is no bar fine, as the women are generally independent freelancers.
