Gay for pay

Gay for pay is a term for a male sex worker, escort or performer who provides sexual services to men while presenting the booking as a paid role or experience. In one common version, the worker is gay or bisexual and the client identifies as straight. The label describes a market niche; it does not tell you either person's full identity.

The Client's Point of View

Some straight-identifying clients describe the encounter as a physical act rather than a change in identity. They may be curious, closeted or looking for a particular dominant or submissive dynamic without dating men.

The client may also see the worker as the one taking the more receptive role, even when the worker is actually a top or versatile. That is the client's assumption, not a rule about gay men or male escorts.

The booking is paid, and the worker may perform a particular role or style the client wants. The service, sexual role, limits and price depend on the provider. "Gay for pay" does not mean every act is included, and it does not mean the worker has to pretend to want a relationship.

Some clients like that the encounter has a clear start and end. Others want a more affectionate Boyfriend Experience. Discuss what is included before booking.
