Barrio Antioquia
Barrio Antioquia is an old rough prostitution pocket in Medellín, Colombia, known more by local street talk than tourist guides. It is not El Poblado, not Parque Lleras, and not some clean red-light district with lights and easy layout. It is cheaper, rougher, more local and more unpredictable, with bars, motels, street girls, drugs, bikes, cops, local guys watching corners and that old Medellín low-end nightlife feel.
Guys mention Barrio Antioquia prostitutes, Barrio Antioquia red-light district and Medellín street hookers because this area has long had a reputation for street-level action, but it is not a place dressed up for foreigners. Some nights there are women hanging around bars and corners, some nights it feels half-dead and sketchy, and some nights the whole mood depends on who is standing outside and who controls the block.
The girls come in every style: older women, rougher street types, some decent local-looking girls, some worn out, some tied to drugs or bad company. It is not a polished Escort scene and not the Medellín Instagram fantasy. It is street work, bar talk, cheap rooms, quick arrangements and all the dirt that comes with it.
Old forum-style reports usually put basic short-time street deals around 30,000-70,000 COP, with cheap rooms extra depending on how ugly or basic the place is, but that is street talk, not a menu. A local hears one number, a foreigner hears another, and the better-looking or bargirls usually ask more.
Cheap in Barrio Antioquia is cheap for a reason: bad rooms, sudden price changes, robbery risk, pressure, drug mess and local trouble can all come with the bargain. The area works through small bars, cheap motels, doors, stairs, corners and local rhythm, not through any official brothel setup.
Compared with El Centro, Barrio Antioquia feels more neighborhood rough; compared with Parque Lleras, it is another planet. Poblado has gringo prices and fake smiles. Barrio Antioquia has harder faces and less patience.

Safety is the big thing here. Robbery, drugs, bad dates, fake friendliness, police pressure and street scams are part of the reputation. The usual Escort and Sex scams, Bar and Nightclub Scams and street robbery patterns apply. Barrio Antioquia may be cheaper than Poblado, but the street does not care if a guy came looking for a bargain.
